Q: What is the process for booking photography sessions?

A: Headshot and Portrait Sessions typically have 4 parts:

Step 1: Pro-bono Initial Consultation (~15 min): Schedule an initial 15-minute call to ensure Kolin Mendez Photography understands your vision and goals. Let’s discuss your wants and what you really need to ensure we can customize your shoot experience. We close the call with pricing and contact details while also identifying any non-photography related service needs you may have to make key referrals to vendors we trust.

Step 2: Creative Direction & Shoot Design (30 mins): After you confirm the desired date(s) for your shoot, Kolin Mendez Photography connects with clients for a 30-45 minute design call. We’ll dive into the details and design your desired shoot experience, together.

After a design call, clients receive:

An Inspiration Board: A Pinterest board with sample inspiration photos + pose recommendations for review (~10)

Location Recommendations: ~3-5 places aligned to your shoot vision and reference photos/links (unless you provide your own!)

A Draft Call Sheet: The run of show for the day with relevant details. including local resources to ensure you have everything you need day-of for a seamless session

A Reminder to Pick their Playlist (optional): You should be comfortable in any atmosphere. Want a particular playlist? Send it our way. Otherwise, we’ll custom curate one for you!

Step 3: On-Site Shooting (Custom Time Span): We’ll make your vision come to life.

Step 4: Turnaround + Delivery | Enjoy: Once a session is complete, we’ll touch up photos in alignment with your package selection and share final retouched photos with you for enjoyment - digitized for easy access and use.
