This past weekend in Brooklyn was highlighted by the 5th Anniversary of the celebration known as CURLFEST. Consider this celebration as an oasis of kinks, coils, coconut and castor oils, shea and cocoa butters, shining melanin, and beautiful energy all wrapped in one package. Thousands of beautiful Black people descended upon Prospect Park's Nethermead to partake in the upliftment of Black people across many aspects but the most important being each other's natural hair journeys. Many Thanks to the visionary ladies of the Curly Girl Collective for their dynamic work in putting a grand production and gathering of such magnitude together, as well as the opportunity to document this year's festivities on their behalf.
