GOODradio: FINDING GOOD VOICES x kolinmendez
Peace everyone! I hope you are all well and in good spirits.
It’s been a little while since I’ve shared content via the blog, consider this a return! I would also be remiss if I did not acknowledge the downtime that has been provided this year, as we have all been dealing with 2020 and the pandemic in its various forms, responding and pivoting accordingly!
I had the opportunity to chop it up with my brother Kyle Deane of the findingGOODtimes brand on an episode of his new podcast venture: findingGOODvoices/GOODradio! We spoke about a range of topics as it relates to #kolinmendezphotography: my background, my start in photography, my inspirations, my philosophy when picking up my camera, my aspirations, and much more!

CURLFEST 2018!
This past weekend in Brooklyn was highlighted by the 5th Anniversary of the celebration known as CURLFEST. Consider this celebration as an oasis of kinks, coils, coconut and castor oils, shea and cocoa butters, shining melanin, and beautiful energy all wrapped in one package. Thousands of beautiful Black people descended upon Prospect Park's Nethermead to partake in the upliftment of Black people across many aspects but the most important being each other's natural hair journeys. Many Thanks to the visionary ladies of the Curly Girl Collective for their dynamic work in putting a grand production and gathering of such magnitude together, as well as the opportunity to document this year's festivities on their behalf.

Recap: J. COLE - 4 YOUR EYEZ ONLY TOUR - August 20th, 2017
This past weekend was highlighted by my return to the state of Texas, this time visiting the city of Dallas. I was also in town to connect with the homies from Dreamville and to watch as J. COLE, BAS, Ari Lennox & J.I.D. and guest artist Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, close out the American leg of their tour. Super dope being able to visit that city as well as witness the growth that the Dreamville camp has gone through the last few years.
Check out photos from last night's show and be sure to check out the artists and their released projects!
